About Issac Ormand

Going from a shy kid who wanted nothing to do with speaking to becoming a nationally feared debater, in his three short years of Team Policy Debate, Isaac discovered that, as long as someone is willing to learn, they can win. Isaac, being in zero outrounds in his first year and winning eleven out of fifteen in his second, believes exponential growth is possible. Beyond Stoa, Isaac has used the skills he garnered to win prestigious national scholarships such as the United States Senate Youth Program, as well as the Elks’ Most Valuable Student Scholarship.

Isaac’s style focuses on structural arguments that win the round before it starts, leading to a 90% negative win rate in his final year. In his coaching, you will learn how to find the philosophies behind the arguments to build and attack more effectively, and how nine in ten cases—in most resolutions—are stopped dead in their tracks by the American legal system.
