About Logan Kausrud

Hello, my name is Logan Kausrud. I competed in Stoa for 6 years in the events of LD, TP, Parli, Apol, Extemp, Impromptu, Mars Hill, OO, and Duo. I specialize in limited prep events and all forms of debate, but I have a strong understanding of platform events as well. It took me three years until I was finally able to qualify for NITOC in multiple events, and it took a lot of work. I am a firm believer in the motto “hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work”, and that was a key part of my success in my senior year in which my partner and I won four TP tournaments, holding first place in the nation January through May and eventually finishing second in the nation for the 24/25 competition year. I also really enjoyed giving Apologetics and Extemporaneous speeches, and I placed decently well, too. Stoa was such an important part of my life, and I’m excited to pass down the valuable things I’ve learned to others.
