About Charlie Said

Charlie Said competed in Stoa Speech and Debate for 6 years, debating for Verve in Washington.  He placed 5th in TP in his junior year and won the TP Championship in his senior year.  He placed 7th in Parli and has competed in numerous speech events and LD once.  He has a deep appreciation for the value of debate, a passion for coaching, and a love of competition.  In his senior year, Charlie and his partner Ainsley Stellman wrote over 2000 pages of research, including Neg Briefs, Generic Briefs, and multiple Aff cases, making them on of the most researched teams of the season.  As a 2N, Charlie’s specialties include topicality theory and negative strategy.  He’s intensely loyal to his home club Verve, but is happy to give debate advice to anyone interested.
